What we do

A trucking company’s job ends at the gate.
Ours starts there.

Tahoe owns its trucks, so material arrives on our equipment and our schedule. But the haul is the beginning of the job, not the whole of it. Inside the fence we handle material, run equipment, grade, and manage the site.

STAGE 01

To the gate

Material delivery

Aggregate, base, fill, and sand delivered to commercial and industrial sites across the Coastal Bend.

Material procurement

Sourcing from regional pits and suppliers. Builders who come from out of town don't know where the material is or who has it. We do.

Hauling and export

Moving material off the site as well as onto it, including disposed and imported material on large civil projects.

STAGE 02

Inside the gate

On-site material handling

Separating, stockpiling, and crushing material where it lies, rather than hauling it twice.

STAGE 03

The ground itself

Site grading

Grading and earthwork as part of the same scope as the material.

Road building and pad sites

Access roads, laydown yards, and pad construction.

Ground construction

Full-service construction of the site surface the rest of the job is built on.

STAGE 04

What goes in the ground and on it

Utility installation and removal

Underground utility work as part of the site scope.

Guardrail installation and fabrication

Installed, and fabricated in-house.

STAGE 05

Equipment, operators, and management

Equipment with operators

Articulated trucks, dozers, loaders, excavators, front-end loaders, skid steers, and mini excavators, with the operators to run them.

Site and project management

Coordinating the material, earthwork, and equipment side of a project so the general contractor manages one relationship instead of five.

General site maintenance

Keeping the site workable for everyone else on it.

Where we work

We work where we know the ground.

Tahoe works within about 100 miles of Robstown, and most of our work sits inside 50. That’s deliberate.

A short radius means our trucks turn more loads in a day than a carrier running long lanes, which shows up in what the work costs. It also means we’ve been through the gates before — the plants, the terminals, the federal facilities, the projects along the ship channel. We know what it takes to get on a site here because we’ve been getting on them since 1986.

If your project is on the Coastal Bend, we’ve probably worked next to it.

Projects

Work that outlasts us.

“What gives me excitement is to build projects that are generational — that the city will be using for generations to come. I know that my daughter, their kids are also going to see and use these same facilities.”
Mark Davis

Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge

Flatiron/Dragados joint venture for the Texas Department of Transportation. The longest cable-stayed bridge in the United States, with a 1,661-foot main span and 538-foot towers — the tallest structure in South Texas. Opened 2025.

Tahoe served as a primary hauler for all disposed and imported materials.

Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction

LNG export terminal on the La Quinta Ship Channel, roughly 20 miles from our yard. This is the project that led us to form Tahoe Services & Solutions, after a Cheniere vice president pointed out that the work in front of us was bigger than the name on our trucks.

Credentials

What the federal record says.

Tahoe operates under USDOT 1953405. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration inspection records report a 13.6% vehicle out-of-service rate against a 22.26% national average, and a 2.2% driver out-of-service rate against a 6.67% national average, with no fatal crashes recorded in the most recent 24-month period.

We’d rather you checked than took our word for it.
